Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passed away at a hospital in Ahmedabad today i.e. on 30 December.
A glorious century rests at the feet of God, PM Modi said while informing about her demise.
In a heartfelt note, the prime minister wrote, “In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values.”
She was admitted to the super-specialty UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre on Wednesday morning due to some health issues. The hospital authorities on Thursday had said that her condition was improving. The Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) too in a statement had said that said that Heeraben would be discharged soon. Earlier on Thursday, people of ‘Dharmayatra Mahasangh’ in Gujarat’s Vadodara offered prayers at the temple and chanted ‘Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra’ for the ‘good health’ of PM Modi’s mother. Earlier in the day, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of Heeraben.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की मां हीराबेन का 100 साल की उम्र में अहमदाबाद के अस्पताल में निधन हो गया है. मां के निधन के बद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी भाई पंकज मोदी के आवास पर पहुंचे, जहां उनकी मां हीराबेन का पार्थिव शरीर अंतिम दर्शन के लिए रखा गया. हीराबेन को स्वास्थ्य संबंधी कुछ परेशानियों के चलते बुधवार को सुबह ‘यू एन मेहता इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ कार्डियोलॉजी एंड रिसर्च सेंटर’ में भर्ती कराया गया था. अस्पताल के जारी किये गए बयान के मुताबिक, प्रधानमंत्री की मां हीराबेन मोदी ने आज सुबह (30 दिसंबर) 3:30 बजे आखिरी सांस ली.
मां के निधन पर पीएम मोदी ने दु:ख जताते हुए लिखा, “शानदार शताब्दी का ईश्वर चरणों में विराम… मां में मैंने हमेशा उस त्रिमूर्ति की अनुभूति की है, जिसमें एक तपस्वी की यात्रा, निष्काम कर्मयोगी का प्रतीक और मूल्यों के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध जीवन समाहित रहा है.”
